WELDING PROGRAM

Are you interested in enrolling at the Merrill Institute? Here’s what you need to know to get started:

There’s no previous experience needed
We require a 70% or better on our written assessment test and we will also measure your hand-eye coordination and your hand-tool dexterity
The certification course meets for 12 weeks, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm
You’ll spend 85% of the time doing hands-on training in our welding labs, and just 15% in a classroom

We are accredited by the AWS to provide Level I-II welding modules, including:

- AWS QC 10 Specification for Qualification and Certification of Level I - Entry Welder and AWS EG 2.0 Guide for the Training of Welding Personnel: Level I - Entry Welder

- AWS QC 11 Specification for Qualification and Certification of Level II - Advanced Welder and AWS EG 3.0 Guide for the Training of Welding Personnel: Level II - Advanced Welder
